Indigenous Fire Fighting Compound - INDOPENE

Indopene is a special-purpose synthetic hydrocarbon foam agent (foam concentrate) used to extinguish class А and В fires (solid and liquid combustibles, including wood, cotton, coal, oil and petroleum products, oils). Indopene has been developed with improved fire suppression capability and foam stability in relation to general purpose synthetic hydrocarbon foam agents.

It is mainly intended for wide use, primarily when using sea (outside) water at offshore oil and gas production platforms, onboard Ships and marine Platforms and at ports and cargo terminals. It is applied as low, medium and high expansion foam with all types of standard foam generators in mobile, stationary and automatic water-foam fire extinguishing system.

AVM RCAF is a Hand-Held Hose System which is self-contained & pre-assembled. Compressed Air Foam has extremely effective extinguishing mechanism for flammable and combustible liquids, both miscible and non-miscible. The unique physical properties and texture of CAF which allows it to form a stable and uniform foam blanket on top the liquid surface.

The robust foam blanket developed during a discharge works at the fuel surface, creating an effective vapour seal to establish a physical separation between the fuel and the burning vapours. Because CAF is generated through aeration in the mixing chamber, versus agitation at the nozzle, it has higher expansion ratios and longer drain times than conventional foam systems. This translates directly into enhanced extinguishing and burn back performance. CAF uses 75% less water and 75% less foam concentrates when compared to standard air aspirated AFFF foam. CAF is 3 to 4 times more effective than conventional AFFF foam systems and 15 to 30 times more effective than water alone.
